How a commission works

Inquiry
Pick a design, or tell me you’re not sure. Tell me about the build and when you need it. It takes about two minutes.
If you want your place on the bench secured, hold a slot for ₹2,000. It comes off your price, and it’s refunded in full if we don’t agree on the build.

The call
We talk through the design on a video call and take your measurements together. I send you a written brief and the final price. A 50% deposit opens the bench.

The build
Six weeks. You can follow your piece on the Bench. When it’s finished, I send you photos, you pay the balance, and it ships tracked.
Pricing
Starting prices for each design. What moves the price: the design, the leather, hand-painting, the hardware, and how much leather the piece uses.

The fit promise. I check your measurements with you on a video call before I cut anything. If the piece doesn’t fit as agreed, I adjust it. Alterations are on me, shipping both ways included, within 14 days of delivery. That covers the agreed fit, not a new design.

Questions
Which bodies do you make for?
Any. Every pattern is drafted from your measurements. There are no sizes. Kavach is the line cut for masc bodies.
Can I change a design?
Yes. Every design is a starting point. We decide the changes on the call, and I'll tell you if a change alters how the piece works.
How long does it take?
Six weeks from the day we agree the brief and the deposit is in.
What if it doesn't fit?
I adjust it. Alterations are on me, shipping both ways included, within 14 days of delivery.
How do I pay?
A 50% deposit once we agree the brief, and the balance before dispatch, after you've seen photos of the finished piece. You can hold a bench slot for ₹2,000 when you send your inquiry; it comes off your price.
Can I cancel?
Yes, with a full refund before I cut the leather. The details are on the refunds page.
Can I sit, eat and move in it?
Yes. It's cut to your measurements and laced to a fit we agree on, not tight-laced for waist training.
Everyday wear or occasions?
Either. Leather softens and shapes to you with wear.
Can I wear it over a saree or a kurta?
Yes. Tell me what you'll wear it with, and I'll account for it in the fit.
How do I care for it?
Keep it dry and out of direct sun. Store it flat or on a hanger with the lacing loosened. Condition the leather once or twice a year.
Do you ship outside India?
Yes, on request. Shipping outside India is charged at cost.
Is my information private?
Your measurements and photos are used for your commission and nothing else. The Bench shows your initials and city, and only if you agree.
